p.s. Effective January 1, 2018, the recently passed tax reform goes into effect. Among the many changes is the doubling of the standard deduction to $12,000 for a single filer and to $24,000 for a married couple. This specific change may, depending on your tax situation, reduce or eliminate a tax benefit in 2018 and beyond for your charitable contributions.
